Introduction

An aspect of a joyful family life includes recreational interactions during which families engage in healthy and creative activities together. People across the globe have deep cultural traditions of participating in sports and exercise as ways to celebrate individuals and communities. Traditions like tee-ball help children develop gross and fine motor skills, skills related to cooperation, and communication skills that can be incorporated not only into sports but in other areas of life. There are a multitude of developmentally appropriate activities, including basic to advanced skill sets, that families can enjoy together.
