Abstract
The power to give money is apprehended, in legal terms, through the notions of subsidies and state aids. In a conventional approach of state aids and subsidies control, it is because they have a potential effect on the competitive position of economic and create some trans-frontiers spillovers that these “spending” are or should be controlled at a supranational level. This entry will inquire into the rationale and limit of state aids control.
