About the editor

Prof. Xue Wang is now an associate dean of Department of Precision Instrument at Tsinghua University. He is an associate director of State Key Laboratory of Precision Measurement Technology and Instrument; Director, Institute of Instrument Science and Technology, Tsinghua University. From May 2001 to July 2002, he was a visiting professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Wisconsin. Dr. Wang’s research areas include cyber-physical systems, precision measurement and smart sensor technologies wireless sensor networks measurement systems, computational intelligence, medical imaging processing, intelligent maintenance and fault diagnosis. Until now, he has published more than 200 papers in international journals and conferences. Dr. Wang is the author of 3 books entitled Wireless Sensor Networks Measurement SystemMeasurement Intelligent Information Processing and Modern Intelligent Information Processing: A practical Approach.And he has co-authored 4 other books. Dr. Wang is deputy editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Scientific Instrument, associate editor of Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering (in English, SCI index) and Journal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation, editor of SENSORS Journal (SCI index). Dr. Wang won several awards including: IEEE instrumentation and measurement society “Andi Chi Best Paper Award” in 2012, “Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing Top Cited Article 2005-2010”, “Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society Best Paper Award, 2011”. His book, Wireless Sensor Networks Measurement System, (in Chinese) won Press and Publication Administration of People’s Republic of China “Three 100 Original Engineering Award” in 2008. Dr. Wang’s book, Measurement Intelligent Information Processing (in Chinese) and Modern Intelligent Information Processing: A practical Approach (in Chinese) won the honor of “Beijing Elite Textbook”; Dr. Wang also won the title of “Excellent Editor of Scientific challenges of 10000”, published by Scientific Press in China, 2011.
