Abstract

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that results in dementia, and ultimately in the death of its victims. In the United States, AD is the fourth leading cause of death, and without a forseeable means of prevention, or effective treatment this will likely increase as the population ages.
