Abstract
The method described in this chapter is based on derivatization of amino acids, produced by hydrolysis of peptides or proteins, with phenylisothiocyanate. This forms phenylthiocarbamyl amino acids, which are then separated by reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatography and quantified from their UV-absorbance at 254 nm.
