Abstract
The importance of plant cell suspension cultures as a research tool in various aspects of plant biology is well established. A basic requirement of work with plant cell suspension cultures is the ability to monitor growth on the basis of various parameters. Reliable and reproducible measurement of growth is essential in order to assess the performance of the culture in general and pinpoint the occurrence of certain metabolic events at given growth stages.
