Abstract
This chapter reviews the detailed characteristics of 100 interventional clinical trials in Alzheimer’s disease, published between 2010 and 2015, with the aim of providing conceptual tools for the optimization of design and condition of future clinical trials on this population. For this purpose, the literature review of the 100 most highly cited interventional clinical trials between 2010 and 2015, was performed using the search engine Web of Science. Based on the guidelines by the CONSORT group and the criteria contained in them, relevant practices in these clinical trials are discussed and suggestions are made for the improvement on the design and conduction of further clinical studies in the field.
