About the editors
Claudio Vicini is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Bologna University and Ferrara University, Italy. He is Director of the Head and Neck Department of AUSL of Romagna, Italy. He is a Visiting Professor of the Hamad Foundation for Sleep Surgery in Doha (Qatar) and board member of the Florida Hospital Nicholson Center Global Faculty, Celebration (USA). He is Co-Director of a Post Graduate Course of Sleep Disordered Breathing Surgery (EOS-DRS) and past-president of the Italian Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.
Fabrizio Salamanca is the Director of the center for the diagnosis and treatment of snoring and sleep related disorders - Humanitas San Pio X Hospital, Milan, Italy and Co-Director of a Post Graduate Course of Sleep Disordered Breathing Surgery (EOS-DRS). He authored many papers in the field of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and he led the development of two surgical techniques for its treatment ("Barbed Anterior Pharyngoplasty: an evolution of anterior palatoplasty” and the ‘’Epiglottic Stiffening Operation’’).
Giannicola Iannella is an Otorhinolaryngologist of the Department of Head-Neck Surgery of the Morgagni Pierantoni Hospital, Forlì and researcher to the ‘Organi di Senso’ Department of the Sapienza University of Rome. He received a Ph.D. in Advanced Technologies in Surgery from the University Sapienza of Rome, Italy. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Immunology Research, as guest editor for the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, and as Associate Editor to the PLOS-ONE Journal. He is author of more than 20 scientific papers in the field of sleep surgery and member of European Academy of Sleep Medicine.
