Living Reviews in Relativity - Living Reviews in Relativity welcomes new editors!

Vitor Cardoso, Roberto Emparan, and Peter Wolf join the Editorial Board

Vitor Cardoso and Peter Wolf have accepted our invitation to join the Editorial Board of Living Reviews in Relativity in 2021. They will follow our founding member Clifford Will, who is retiring from the board after more than 20 years, as editors for the field of tests of GR and alternative theories.

New Content ItemVitor Cardoso is Professor of Physics at the Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon; a CERN Scientific Associate; and Adjunct Professor of Physics at the University of Mississippi. He is chair of the European COST Action CA16104 program on "Gravitational Waves, Black Holes and Fundamental Physics". His research interests include black hole physics, gravitational-wave physics and General Relativity.

He has already co-authored two Living Reviews articles: "Testing the nature of dark compact objects: a status report" and "Exploring New Physics Frontiers Through Numerical Relativity", as well as the book "Superradiance: New Frontiers in Black Hole Physics" (2nd ed. 2020).

Peter WolfPeter Wolf received his Ph.D. from the University of London in 1997 and his “Habilitation à diriger des recherches” from Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris in 2005. He has worked as a physicist at the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM) and since 2007 has held a CNRS research position at the Paris Observatory. His research activity is both theoretical and experimental and centered on tests of fundamental physics. It focuses in particular on ground and space tests of general relativity and related studies in alternative theories of gravitation, atomic clocks, atom interferometers and time/frequency transfer techniques.

New Content ItemJoining in April 2021, Roberto Emparan will succeed Mukund Rangamani and Don Marolf as editor for string theory and gravitation.

Roberto Emparan is an ICREA Research Professor at the University of Barcelona. He works on gravitational physics, black holes and string theory. In recent years he has developed an interest in outreach activities, including an acclaimed popular science book in Spanish.

Roberto Emparan has also co-authored a Living Reviews article with Harvey S. Reall on "Black Holes in Higher Dimensions".
