Archives of Microbiology - Mini-Reviews in Archives of Microbiology
Archives of Microbiology publishes thoughtful mini-reviews across the full spectrum of basic microbiology research. We encourage these in areas of special topical interest, including papers on medical microbiology, ecology and systematics, as well as descriptions of novel taxa.
Mini-reviews cover recent discoveries on topics of current interest. They are not extensive reviews; the history and background of the topic should be kept to the minimum required to introduce and understand the subject. Like research manuscripts, mini-reviews are also peer-reviewed.
See below for the content, formatting and submission guidelines:
- A similar review must not have been published within the past 2 years.
- It should have molecular level information of microbial physiology.
- In addition to novelty and topicality, we prefer manuscripts with more graphical content depicting molecular level information of microbial physiology. Our mini-review format allows submitting up to 5 display items i.e. figures and tables.
- Up to 5000 words, and should be no longer than 4-6 printed pages.
- Authors should send the title, abstract, and a list of their publications in the topic area to the Editorial Office for approval before submitting a mini-review.
