Submission guidelines

Online submission

For initial submission manuscripts should preferably be submitted online in the form of a pdf-file or in standard word processing format (e.g. Word or WordPerfect) including all figures and tables. Please click on “Submit online” in the 'for authors and editors' link section in the frame on the right-hand side of this page. If you are transferred to Manuscript Central, follow these instructions. If not, please submit the following information:

E-mail address

Full postal address

Telephone and fax numbers

Title of the manuscript

Desired section or subfield as appropriate

Keywords

and attach your file(s). Your manuscript will be sent to the Editor or Editorial Office for this journal.

All Springer- or Birkhäuser journals are published using electronic production methods. Therefore we need to receive the electronic files of your article along with a pdf file of the accepted version. On acceptance of your manuscript you will therefore be asked to resubmit the original files for your manuscript and original files of all illustrations. If you are unable to submit your manuscript online or if this journal does not accept online submissions please send your manuscript to the editor in charge of your particular geographic region or sub field as described in the Instructions for Authors.
