Title: Innovations in Artificial Intelligence for Medicine and Healthcare
This special issue is dedicated to the cutting-edge research presented at the Cancer Prevention, Detection and IntervenTion Workshop (CapPTion). However, this call for papers is open to any high-quality submissions related to the topics of Intertest and will be given full consideration for inclusion in the special issue. This issue aims to showcase the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medicine and healthcare, featuring interdisciplinary research that connects AI with medical informatics and biomedical informatics.
Scope and Themes
Submissions should align with the journal's focus on AI's theory and practice in medicine, medically-oriented human biology, and healthcare. This special issue aims to cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to, the application of Artificial intelligence into:

Submission Guidelines:
All manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer-review process, adhering to the journal's standards for novelty, impact, and relevance to real-world medical domains.
We encourage authors to:
- Clearly articulate the novelty in methodological and/or theoretical content related to AI and computer science.
- Discuss the clinical assessment and implications of the proposed AI solutions, as well as their real-world applicability and potential impact on medicine and healthcare.
Submission Process
Authors should prepare their manuscript according to the Instructions for Authors available from the Health Information Science and Systems. Authors should submit through the online submission site “Submit manuscript” and at the time of article submission, the Topical Issue section can be found under the ‘Additional Information’ Section. Please follow the given steps:
Step I - ‘Does this manuscript belong to a special issue? Yes/No’. Please enter ‘Yes’.
Step II - The author must choose the Topical Issue of choice from the dropdown list, which will be: “S.I. : Innovations in Artificial Intelligence for Medicine and Healthcare".
Submitted papers should present original, unpublished work, relevant to the topics of the track. All submitted papers will be evaluated on the basis of relevance, significance of contribution, technical quality, scholarship, and quality of presentation, by at least three independent reviewers. It is the policy of the journal that no submission, or substantially overlapping submission, be published or be under review at another journal at any time during the review process. The papers will undergo the standard, rigorous journal review process and be accepted only if well-suited to the topic of this special issue and meeting the scientific level of the journal. Final decisions on all papers are made by the Editor in Chief.
