Sommario

La disforia di genere (DG) in età evolutiva è un fenomeno multifattoriale caratterizzato da disagio clinicamente significativo per l’incongruenza tra identità di genere e sesso biologico. La DG in adolescenza è associata a depressione, ansia, ritiro sociale e rischio suicidario. Tutte le linee guida e raccomandazioni nazionali e internazionali supportano l’uso dei GnRH analoghi in casi selezionati di adolescenti con DG per alleviare il disagio e per ampliare la finestra diagnostica.
