Kopfschmerzen im Alter: Was ist anders?

Kopfschmerzen sind kein „Privileg“ der Jüngeren. Im Gegenteil: Jeder zweite über 65-Jährige klagt über Kopfschmerzen im letzten halben Jahr. Da ältere Patienten in Therapiestudien oft bewusst ausgeschlossen wurden, werden die klinischen und therapeutischen Besonderheiten von Kopfschmerzen im Alter erst allmählich erkannt. Für die Praxis sind sie jedoch von erheblicher Bedeutung.
