Abstract

The half-lives of an alpha decay and cluster radioactivity in superheavy odd nuclei such as 272–283Rg, 283–287Nh, 287–291Mc, 289–297Ts, 292–299Uue, 299–305121, 297–317123, and 307–319125 were studied using the modified generalized liquid drop model (MGLDM) and the temperature-dependent (TD) and temperature-independent (TIND) models. The alpha decay half-life results obtained from the three different models were compared with each other and with Dong et al.’s [Nucl. Phys. A 832, 198 (2010)] formula and the effective liquid droplet model (ELDM). Based on this, we have predicted the decay modes for studied superheavy nuclei. Finally, we have also compared the present work with experimental values. These observations will be helpful for further experimental investigations in this region.
