Role of optics in super-fast information processing

Abstract

From the decade of seventy a motivation inspired the people of optical and computing community for using optics in place of electronics as information carrying signal in digital data and image processing. Here in this communication the author extends a brief report on the role of optics in super fast computation and its advantages.
