Soms is het gemakkelijk een diagnose te stellen. De leeftijd, het klachtenpatroon, het beloop; bij elkaar genomen leidt het eigenlijk vanzelf tot de diagnose. Zo ligt bij ouderen die steeds vergeetachtiger worden de diagnose dementie voor de hand.
