Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study the impact of surgery (tumorectomy vs mastectomy) and of hormonotherapy on the quality of life and sexuality of women with breast cancer. Results indicate that there is no significant difference between the two types of surgery. Findings are less clear-cut, however, regarding the impact of hormonotherapy as patients can be distinguished according to several criteria. This information may have implications when considering a patient’s quality of life and sexuality in psychosocial interventions.
