Abstract
Electrochemical supercapacitors (ES) are urgently needed as components in many advanced power systems. The development of advanced ES is expected to enable radical innovation in the area of hybrid vehicles and electronic devices. Electrochemical supercapacitors become of interest in hybrid electric vehicles as auxiliary power sources in combination with fuel cells or batteries. Nanostructured manganese oxides have been found to be promising electrode materials for ES. This paper describes new electrochemical methods for the fabrication of nanostructured manganese oxide electrodes for ES.
