Abstract
While the evaluation of the distal radial fracture as well as of the scaphoid fracture is generally unproblematic, the evaluation of a discus injury in the wrist or of SL-ligamanet or LT-ligament damage creates difficulties. In the latter cases, there needs to be an appropriate accident mechanism, and accident-independent signs of wear, which can also be asymptomatic, must be well differentiated. The detection of a discus injury or of SL- and LT-ligament damage alone is no indication of an injury.
