Abstract
The present paper analyzes various snags experienced during calibration test of turbo shaft used for helicopter application. This has made the engines to make frequent visits to maintenance shop causing delay in acceptance of the engine for service. The paper also covers the analysis of snags, their causes and remedial measures introduced to resolve these snags before the engines are accepted. This paper will be an invaluable asset for the MRO agency to evolve effective maintenance schedules and practices during assembly and engine build to avoid the reoccurrence of such events.
