Abstract

Work becomes increasingly volatile, insecure, complex and ambiguous. Organizations respond to these trends by democratizing their organizational structures and work processes which they call New Work. Such organizational development measures usually focus on organizational structures, not on the people who have to work therein. This article shows how weaknesses of the structural empowerment can be compensated by the psychological empowerment and how coaches can contribute to the success of modern forms of collaboration.
