Abstract
The diffusion-kinetic rate of substrate consumption by microorganisms in a biofilm is analyzed. Specific features of modes following from the Michaelis-Menten kinetic scheme are demonstrated with allowance for the dependence of the biomass concentration on the substrate concentration field.
