Abstract

Although sexual problems are not as serious as physical problems for patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in terms of their daily life routines, these problems also lead to significant effects on their daily life. This study was planned and applied as a descriptive and a cross-sectional study. Study was conducted at Neurology Department of Gulhane Military Medical Academy from December 2009 to February 2010. This study was carried out using 45 participants with MS. The results of the comparison between ASEX scores and general total scores based on gender shows a statistically significant difference between female and male patients (P < 0.05). The findings of the study point out that health care staff should improve their perceptions and understanding in regard to sexual problems of the patients.
