Abstract

Pattern of soybean oil epoxidation catalyzed by chlorinated KU-2 × 8 cation exchanger in the presence of H2O2 and propanoic acid was studied. The epoxidation rate and the selectivity of formation and yield of the epoxidation product were studied as influenced by the concentration of H2O2, C2H5COOH, and the catalyst. Some kinetic and activation parameters of soybean oil epoxidation were determined.
