We study selective excitation of the mode with the rotating field structure in a low-Q barrel-shaped cavity by the enveloping rectangular waveguide by means of the perforation in the common wall. The found relationship of the system parameters ensures the maximum energy transfer from the waveguide mode to the cavity mode. The waveguide mode H10 converts to the rotating cavity mode H611 with an efficiency of 65%.
