Abstract
The existence of two types of magnon populations created in volume and in the surfaces of the CoxPt1−x/Pt multilayer was demonstrated. A band structure of these magnons was evidenced by the shape of the calculated excitation spectra. Two bands of energy allowed for a creation of these magnetic excitations are obtained. “Creation gaps” and associated lifetimes are also calculated. The comparison of the calculated relaxation times with experimental results is more than satisfactory.
