To the calculation of pillar stability under condition of chamber mining

  • Published:
Journal of Mining Science Aims and scope

Abstract

It is established by mathematical modeling that the loading rate of an interchamber pillar agrees with the maximal relative shear stress intensity reached over each vertical section of the pillar. This correlation is used to find the corrective coefficient for the loading rate of pillars in the inclined strata and for the intermediate pillars in the stopes.
