Abstract
In this paper, we study quantum turbulence in trapped Bose-Einstein condensates by performing a numerical simulation of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. Combining rotations around three axes, we successfully induce quantum turbulence in which quantized vortices are not crystallized but fully tangled. Compared to our previous work with using combined rotations around two axes, turbulence is more isotropic and the obtained energy spectrum is more consistent with the Kolmogorov law.
