Abstract
The irreversible strain component was determined by measurements for needlepunch, thermobonded nonwoven cloth made of polypropylene and viscose fibres. A comparatively simple and convenient method of describing the linear viscoelasticity of nonwovens that takes into account the irreversible strain component was developed, and this makes it possible to solve problems of both the comparative analysis and prediction of the deformation properties of nonwovens in different conditions of use.
