Abstract

Trace metal contents of 28 of refined and unrefined table salt samples from Turkey, Egypt and Greece have been determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry after coprecipitation by dysprosium(III) hydroxide. Copper, nickel, cobalt, manganese, lead and cadmium levels were found in the range of 0.17–0.47, 0.16–1.57, 0.22–0.48, 0.26–4.68, 0.50–1.64 and 0.14–0.30 μg g−1, respectively. The results found in the presented work were compared with literature values.
