Isolation and Structure Elucidation of a New Dimeric Naphthoquinone from Diospyros lotus

One new dimeric naphthoquinone, named 5,8,4′-trihydroxy-1′-methoxy-6,6′-dimethyl-7,3′-binaphtyl-1,4,5′,8′- tetraone ( 1 ), was isolated from the roots of Diospyros lotus. The structure of compound 1 (5,8,4′-trihydroxy-1′-methoxy-6,6′-dimethyl-7,3′-binaphthyl-1,4,5′,8′-tetraone) was elucidated by advance spectroscopic analysis including 1D and 2D experiments such as HMBC, NOESY, and J-resolved spectroscopy.
