Lipids from seeds of Linum humile cultivated in Uzbekistan were studied for the first time. It was found that seeds of this flax species contained 10% less oil than those of L. humile grown at northern latitudes of the European region. The contents and compositions of lipid groups and classes in addition to their fatty-acid compositions were established. The principal group of bound lipids was phospholipids. Lipid fatty acids were represented by 10–14 constituents with 18:1 and α-18:3 dominating the free lipids; 16:0 and 18:1, the bound lipids. The composition of unsaponifiable substances was determined.
