Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

The paper discusses the deficiencies of thermal destruction of muddy sediments from treatment plants in furnaces with fluidized beds. An alternative to fluidized-bed furnaces is proposed: drum furnaces. The comparative analysis of these drum furnaces is made relative to fluidized-bed plants, and with equal conditions for the technological process, the destruction of muddy sediments in drum furnaces substantially simplifies the scheme, halves the cost approximately, and raises the reliability and the ecological characteristics of the entire plant.
