Résumé:
Le traumatisme d’être diagnostiquée et traitée pour un cancer du sein peut avoir un impact sur le fonctionnement sexuel des patientes. La présente analyse des données de la littérature reprend la variété des séquelles physiques, psychologiques et sexuelles à la suite d’un diagnostic de cancer du sein et de ses traitements. Sur base de cet article, nous suggérons aux professionnels de la santé en oncologie d’introduire de façon précoce une prise en charge globale des patientes incluant les implications thérapeutiques et psychologiques sur la fonction sexuelle des femmes atteintes d’un cancer du sein.
Abstract:
The traumatism to be diagnosed and treated for a breast cancer may produce an impact on the patients sexual function. The present analysis of the literature gives the physical, psychological and sexual sequelae of a breast cancer diagnosis and its treatments. On the base of this article, we will suggest to health professionals in oncology to introduce, as soon as possible, in the therapeutic program, a global approach including the side effects and the psychological impact on the sexual function of women with breast cancer.
