Zusammenfassung

Oberschenkelfrakturen im Wachstumsalter zeigen insbesondere aufgrund der Zunahme von Hochrasanztraumen in den letzten Jahrzehnten eine deutlich zunehmende Inzidenz. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden systematisch Diagnostik und Therapie der epiphysären, metaphysären und diaphysären Frakturen des Oberschenkels im Wachstumsalter erläutert. Der Beitrag fokussiert aber auch auf epidemiologische Aspekte, Verletzungsmechanismen, Wachstumsstörungen und die Nachbehandlung der Frakturen im Wachstumsalter.

Abstract

The incidence of femoral fractures among children and adolescents has increased in recent decades because of the increasing frequency of high-velocity traumata. In this paper the diagnosis and therapy of epiphyseal, metaphyseal and diaphyseal femoral fractures during childhood and adolescence are systematically explained. However, there is also a focus on epidemiological aspects, mechanisms of injury, growth disturbances, and the follow-up of femoral fractures sustained during the growth period.
