Summary.
New derivatives of 4-aminobicyclo[2.2.2]octanones and -ols were prepared. Their structures were established by means of NMR experiments. All new compounds were tested for their activities against Plasmodium falciparum and Trypanosoma b. rhodesiense. One of the bicyclooctanols showed promising antitrypanosomal activity.
