Modified GaSe crystal as a parametric frequency converter

  • Published:
Applied Physics B Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

Physical and optical properties of GaSe, doped with indium and sulphur has been discussed. Generation of tunable mid-infrared radiation by the technique of second harmonic generation (SHG) of tunable CO2 laser radiation has been demonstrated. Conversion efficiency of SHG in GaSe:In and GaSe:S has been compared.
