Sakralnervenstimulation bei Spina bifida

Zusammenfassung

Hinsichtlich der Anwendung der sakralen Neuromodulation bei Patienten mit kombinierter Harn- und Stuhlinkontinenz infolge einer Spina bifida sind kaum Daten verfügbar. Die vorliegende Kasuistik zeigt, dass die sakrale Neuromodulation unter Lokalanästhesie auch für diese komplexe Indikation eine vielversprechende Behandlungsoption sein kann.

Abstract

Data for patients with urinary and fecal incontinence due to spina bifida treated by sacral neuromodulation are sparse. This case report shows that sacral neuromodulation performed with the patient under local anesthesia can be a promising treatment option for this complex indication.
