  • Published:
Acta Neurochirurgica Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

The authors present 8 cases of chronic subdural haematoma with a history of illness longer than 1 year. They appeared among 92 cases of chronic subdural haematoma treated in the Neurosurgical Department of the Medical Academy of Łódź.

The course of the illness and the results of surgical treatment are presented. The authors think that intracranial hypotension can play an important role in predisposing to such cases of chronic subdural haematoma, which present with a long history.
