Abstract
Acute mesenteric ischemia is a complex disorder associated with high morbidity and mortality. Recent advances in interventional radiology techniques have provided a variety of less invasive, endovascular approaches to the treatment of acute mesenteric ischemia. This article reviews the etiologies and imaging findings of acute mesenteric ischemia and describes evolving endovascular therapies.
