Zusammenfassung

In Luischen parodiert Mann Strukturmomente der “klassischen” Tragödie, indem er sie mit theatralischen Effekten im Stil Wedekinds konfrontiert. Die groteske Gestaltung der “schlimmstmöglichen Wendung” integriert einerseits Nietzsches Nihilismus-Erfahrung und entspricht andererseits bereits Postulaten von Dürrenmatts Dramaturgie des Zufalls.

Abstract

In Luischen Mann parodies structural elements of “classical” tragedy by confronting them with theatrical effects in the style of Wedekind. The grotesque treatment of the “worst possible turn” of the “Novelle” integrates Nietzsche’s experience of nihilism and corresponds in anticipation to Dürrenmatt’s theory of the unexpected dramatic éclat.
