Abstract
Many producers of industrial goods are implementing solution-selling strategies. The underlying transformation process is complex and therefore needs to be controlled adequately. As pivotal control instrument a performance measurement system is developed in this paper. It is subdivided in three perspectives: customer value, transformation process and competitive forces. The first perspective relates to the value which is delivered with the solution. The second perspective includes all steps in the transformation process. The third perspective relates to all assumptions about the competitive forces. Finally selected implementation aspects of the developed performance measurement system are discussed.
