Abstract

Following the IS Success Model by DeLone and McLean (1992, 2003), use and intention to use are key drivers of information system success. Especially the economic success of cloud computing services depends mainly on its use, since many of these existing services on the market are based on usage-based pricing models named pay-per-use. Therefore, this article examines by using a selected cloud storage service, which factors drive actual use and the intention to continue to use. To answer these questions, we developed an explanatory model by examining existing literature. The model evaluation contains data of 145 respondents, using variance-based equation modeling and SmartPLS as analysis software. Our evaluation shows that actual use is mainly driven by habit and the future intention to use is mainly driven by perceived usefulness.
