Kurzfassung
Infolge der globalen und zwischenbetrieblichen Arbeitsteilung gewinnen Innovationskooperationen zwischen Produktions- und Dienstleistungsunternehmen sowie öffentlichen Forschungseinrichtungen immer stärker an Bedeutung. Innerhalb einer Region beeinflußt die Intensität innovativer Verflechtungen maßgeblich die Auslastung der Innovationsressourcen und damit die regionale und betriebliche Innovationsleistung.
Der Beitrag versteht sich als Einführung in dieses Themenheft, das die Ergebnisse eines von den Verfassern geleiteten Forschungsvorhabens zu innovativen Netzwerken in drei deutschen Regionen präsentiert. Er verfolgt zwei Ziele. Erstens wird der aktuelle Forschungsstand zur Beziehung zwischen regionalem Innovationspotential und innovativen Netzwerken unter Berücksichtigung der theoretischen Basis und der empirischen Evidenz dargestellt. Zweitens beschreibt der Beitrag die Datengrundlagen und das methodische Vorgehen des Gemeinschaftsprojektes.
