Verschillen in etnische achtergrond van forensische en reguliere jeugd-ggz-cliënten

samenvatting

Doelstelling van dit onderzoek was een exact beeld te verkrijgen van de verschillen tussen etnische groepen in het gebruik van de jeugd-ggz. De gegevens van alle cliënten die in 2008 bij De Jutters in behandeling waren zijn gecombineerd met cbs-gegevens van het zorggebied van de instelling. Vervolgens is per etnische groep het percentage cliënten berekend. Op basis hiervan is de kans op behandeling voor de verschillende groepen immigranten berekend. Voor de meeste kinderen uit immigrantengroepen blijkt de kans op behandeling in de reguliere jeugd-ggz ongeveer de helft van die van kinderen van Nederlandse origine. Voor de groep van vijftien jaar en ouder geldt dit ook, maar de kans dat jonge immigranten in de forensische ggz terechtkomen is veel groter. De toegankelijkheid van zowel de reguliere als de forensische jeugd-ggz wordt dus sterk bepaald door etnische factoren. Dit staat in contrast met het streven om de ggz toegankelijk te maken voor alle groepen in de samenleving.
