The utility of sclereid typology in solving problems of synonymy in a few taxa of the genusMemecylon L

Abstract

In the genusMemecylon, one of the main anatomical features of taxonomic significance is the presence of terminal sclereids throughout the leaf expanse. The present study has suggested the utility of sclereid typology in the problems of synonymy in the systematic treatment ofMemecylon.
