  • Published:
Irish Journal of Medical Science (1926-1967)

Abstract

Twenty-five patients with chronic renal failure including four recipients of a kidney transplant were subjected to clinical studies of peripheral nerve function. In twenty-four patients, electrophysiological studies were also carried out. Clinical evidence of a neuropathy was found in twelve patients and a subclinical form in five, and in four others with the “ Restless Legs Syndrome ”. In three patients there was no evidence of peripheral nerve damage.
