Zusammenfassung
Wir berichten über die Entwicklung und Validierung eines krankheitsspezifischen Fragebogens zur Erhebung der Lebensqualität von Eltern neurodermitiskranker Kinder. Das Instrument besteht aus 26 Items, die sich durch fünf Subskalen abbilden lassen. Es wurde im Rahmen einer Berliner Public Health Studie zur „Evaluation von Gruppenbetreuungsangeboten für Eltern von neurodermitiskranken Kindern“ entwickelt und an 365 Elternteilen psychometrisch getestet. Zur Testung der konvergenten Validität wurden derLebensqualitätsfragebogen „Alltagsleben“ sowie die „Beschwerdenliste“ zur Messung psychosomatischer Beeinträchtigungen eingesetzt. Die psychometrischen Prüfungen ergaben gute Eigenschaften bezüglich Reliabilität und Validität. Bei der konvergenten Validität fanden sich hohe Zusammenhänge zu den entsprechenden Subskalen des „Alltagsleben“ und der „Beschwerdenliste“. Hinsichtlich der diskriminanten Validität wurde deutlich, daβ das Instrument gut geeignet ist, unterschiedlich betroffene Untergruppen der Stichprobe zu differenzieren. Nach den ersten Ergebnissen liegt hiermit ein Instrument vor, das in klinischen Evaluationsstudien sinnvoll zur Erfassung gesundheitsbezogener Lebensqualität von Eltern neurodermitiskranker Kinder eingesetzt werden kann.
Abstract
We report about the development and validation of a disease-specific questionnaire to asses quality of life in parents of children with atopic dermatitis. The instrument consists of 26 items which can be divided into five subscales. It has been developed within a Berlin Public Health study for „Evaluation of an educational program for parents of children with atopic dermatitis“ and has been tested for its psychometric properties in 365 parents. For examination of the convergent validity the general quality of life instrument „Daily Life“ (Alltagsleben) as well as an instrument for measuring psychosomatic complaints (Beschwerdenliste) were used. Psychometric testing of reliability and validity produced good results. Concerning convergent validity high correlations to the corresponding subscales of the „Alltagsleben“ and „Beschwerdenliste“ were found. The results of discriminant validity showed that the instrument is suitable to distinguish between differently affected subgroups of the sample. According to the first results it can be assumed that for clinical outcome studies this is a useful questionnaire to measure health-related quality of life in parents of children with atopic dermatitis.
