Summary
Pseudouridine excretion has been measured in a group of patients with chronic lymphatic leukaemia using a modification of methods so far described. All had elevated levels initially, which returned to normal after treatment, though there was a transient rise in levels as the white cell count reduced. This suggests an increased turnover of t-RNA in these patients, but the reason for this is not known at present.
